Cancer Awakens Newsletter - Oct 2018
Message from Vijay
Pinktober – Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women: 2 million new cases worldwide and 2 lakh new cases in India, each year. Sadly, the 5-year survival rate in India is much lower at 66%, compared to 90% in the US & Australia. While genetic research is promising, more attention is needed on lifestyle, dietary, environmental and mental/ emotional factors. Pl do share with your: wives, daughters, sisters, mothers, friends and colleagues, so that the maximum number may benefit. Warmly, Vijay.
